Answer: Yes, you can connect this to an extension cord to bring the power strip where you need it. Calculate the maximum current drawn by all of the devices you will be plugging in to the power strip and use an extension cord rated for the intended current. Make sure the devices don’t exceed the rating of the strip, the extension cord, and the electrical circuit to which they are connected.

Question: Can this item handle 1000W power supply?
Answer: The Echogear Rotating Surge Protector with 2 USB Ports and 6 Rotating AC Outlets is rated up to 1800W so as long as your 1000W power supply does not draw more than 15 Amps this product will work.
